Calif. Firm Touts 'Strong Demand' For $205M Tech Fund

Law360, New York (June 06, 2012, 9:55 PM ET) -- California venture capital outfit True Ventures has closed its third technology-focused fund with $205 million, a feat one of the firm's founders on Wednesday said was a sign that investor interest in startups remains high.

Like the firm's previous funds, True Ventures III LP will make small investments ranging from $250,000 to $2.5 million, with an average of about $1 million, in early-stage enterprises launched by "really dynamic founders to have big ideas," according to True Ventures' Phil Black.
