Law360, New York (July 03, 2012, 3:35 PM ET) -- Connecticut real estate private equity firm Wheelock Street Capital LLC has closed its first fund, a U.S. real estate-focused fund, with $525 million in capital commitments, Wheelock Street said Tuesday.
The firm originally set a fundraising target of $500 million for the fund, known as Wheelock Street Real Estate Fund LP. But after receiving higher than expected interest in late 2011, it increased the target to $525 million, Wheelock Street said.
