Philippines, 3 Investors Launch $625M Infrastructure PE Fund

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 2:14 PM ET) -- The Philippines' national pension system and three investors on Tuesday unveiled a $625 million private equity fund that will target Philippine infrastructure projects, advancing the government's strategy to promote development through public-private partnerships.

The Philippine Investment Alliance for Infrastructure — the first private infrastructure fund to focus exclusively on the Philippines — aims to help supply meet demand in a cash-strapped country that sorely needs new transportation, agricultural and energy infrastructure.
