Real Estate Rumors: Gilead Sciences, Starwood, TGM

By Andrew McIntyre (September 2, 2015, 5:19 PM EDT) -- Gilead Sciences Inc. has paid roughly $120 million for 12 acres in Forest City, California, where it may build as much as 800,000 square feet, the Silicon Valley Business Journal reported Wednesday, citing sources with knowledge of the deal. The deal is for the Foster City Center from Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. and a 3-acre site from Sea Cliff Properties, which could hold 600,000 square feet and 200,000 square feet respectively, according to the report. Gilead paid roughly $90 million for the larger site and approximately $30 million for the smaller site, the report said....
