ChemNutra Pleads Guilty Over Tainted Pet Food

Law360, New York (June 17, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Importer ChemNutra Inc. and its owners have pled guilty to distributing a tainted pet food ingredient that led to a nationwide pet food recall and the deaths of thousands of animals in 2007.

Las Vegas-based ChemNutra and its co-owners, Sally and Stephen Miller, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor violations of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act during a hearing Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
