Law360, New York (September 11, 2009, 5:26 PM ET) -- A slew of automobile accident victims and their families have filed suit against Toyota Motor Corp. and its in-house counsel, accusing the automaker of deliberately covering up evidence in litigation over rollovers.
In a complaint filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the plaintiffs accuse Toyota's litigation team of conspiring to suppress and destroy evidence in 16 now-settled lawsuits over catastrophic, sometimes fatal, injuries in wrecks involving Toyota vehicles.
