Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 6:01 PM ET) -- The Federal Aviation Administration on Wednesday proposed levying a $2.9 million fine against American Eagle Airlines for improperly repairing landing gear doors on its airplanes.
The proposed fine is the latest regulatory turbulence for AMR Corp., the parent company of American Eagle and American Airlines Inc. On Feb. 1, the FAA proposed a $2.5 million fine on American Eagle for inadequately calculating baggage weight.
And last week, the Associated Press reported the agency was mulling what could be a $10 million fine against American for faulty...
