Ky. Oil Told To Quickly Clean PCB-Laden Trailer

Law360, New York (March 10, 2010, 1:47 PM ET) -- A federal judge has issued an injunction ordering Kentucky Oil & Refining Co. to empty 5,560 gallons of polychlorinated biphenyl-laden waste stored in a trailer owned by W.E.L. Inc., a contractor that discovered the dangerous substance during a cleanup job.

Judge Karen K. Caldwell's decision, issued Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, granted the contractor's bid for quick relief and ordered Betsy Layne, Ky.-based Kentucky Oil to legally empty the hazardous waste within 10 days.
