Law360, New York (March 15, 2010, 7:04 PM ET) -- The South Carolina Supreme Court has reversed an $18 million verdict against Ford Motor Co. in a lawsuit over a fatal crash, saying the trial court erred in admitting certain testimony and evidence of similar incidents involving sudden acceleration.
The state's high court said Monday that Ford deserved a new trial in the matter brought by Sonya L. Watson and the estate of Patricia Carter following a 1999 rollover accident.
