Law360, New York (July 14, 2010, 1:33 PM ET) -- Finding that a Massachusetts couple failed to prove that their 2004 Ford Focus was unreasonably dangerous, a federal judge has ruled in favor of Ford Motor Co. and thrown out the couple's claims for product defects and breach of warranty.
Judge Richard G. Stearns of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts ruled Tuesday that because the couple's only expert witness was disqualified, they did not have the requisite horsepower to survive Ford's motion to dismiss on summary judgment.
