Regulators Probe Kia Soul Steering Complaint

Law360, New York (August 16, 2010, 6:44 PM ET) -- Kia Motors America Inc. is facing an investigation by government regulators into possible steering problems with the automaker's 2010 Kia Soul.

A notice posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Monday said the agency has received one complaint claiming that the steering shaft on a 2010 Soul decoupled from the hand wheel, resulting in a “complete loss of steering capability.”
