Toyota Problems Not Due To Electronics, Study Finds

Law360, New York (February 08, 2011, 5:24 PM ET) -- There is no evidence that an electronics malfunction or flaw led to unintended acceleration problems in Toyota Motor Corp. vehicles, according to a study released Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The department unveiled the results of the 10-month study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration into the vehicles' electronic throttle control systems and possible electronic causes of the unintended accelerations.
