Law360, New York (February 15, 2011, 1:40 PM ET) -- A federal judge has extended a temporary restraining order barring Ecuadorean plaintiffs in a high-profile lawsuit against Chevron Corp. over pollution in the Amazon rain forest from enforcing a judgment in the case.
In a ruling Monday, Judge Lewis A. Kaplan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said the extension of the TRO until March 8 would allow for careful consideration of a preliminary injunction that Chevron is seeking.
