Judge Rejects L'Oreal Bid To Kick Hair Serum Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (June 27, 2011, 6:30 PM ET) -- A California federal judge issued a tentative ruling Monday denying L’Oreal USA Inc.’s motion to dismiss a putative class action alleging the company failed to warn consumers about a flammable anti-frizz hair care serum in violation of state consumer protection and business competition laws.

The beauty products maker moved to dismiss the lawsuit in March, arguing that customers Jill Guido and Natalie Lefebevre had not shown any injury that would allow them to proceed with the case.
