Law360, New York (July 19, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- In response to a rash of tainted goods manufactured in China, European Union Consumer Commissioner Meglena Kuneva has determined to take a firm stance on product quality during her upcoming visit to the country.
During a visit scheduled to last from July 21 to July 27, Kuneva will stress the importance of product safety, and discuss enforcement, rapid alert systems and effective market surveillance.
Kuneva will focus on two key messages, the Commission said.
