Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 5:59 PM ET) -- Senators introduced revised legislation Tuesday to reauthorize user fee programs at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, adding provisions to extend government grants for drugs used in rare diseases and calling for greater public input on development of new medical products.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., quickly embraced the bipartisan bill from Sens. Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., and Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, promising to cut off debate if necessary and bring up the bill for consideration next week.
