Law360, Los Angeles (July 03, 2012, 8:26 PM ET) -- A California state judge on Tuesday rejected a lawsuit by a former Weitz & Luxenberg PC attorney who has accused the firm of stealing confidential files from rival asbestos firm Waters & Kraus LLP to thwart its competitors, saying the allegations were too vague.
Judge Ruth Ann Kwan said the 59-page lawsuit filed by John Maher, the former head of Weitz & Luxenberg’s Los Angeles office, fails to provide precise factual allegations that would satisfy the necessary pleading standards.
