Law360, New York (July 05, 2012, 5:36 PM ET) -- Europe's food safety regulator said Thursday that food products like milk and meat from cloned farm animals are just as safe as those from traditionally raised livestock, but that animal welfare concerns remain related to the cloning process.
The European Food Safety Authority released a scientific statement based on a review of recent research on animal cloning, finding there was no evidence to contradict an earlier conclusion that food produced from cloned animals is as safe as that from animals bred through conventional methods.
