Mazda Recalls 218K Tribute SUVs For Sticky Throttles

Law360, New York (July 27, 2012, 3:39 PM ET) -- Mazda Motor Corp. on Thursday announced a voluntary recall of 217,500 Tribute SUVs because of a problem that could cause the throttle to stick when the gas pedal is down, a day after Ford Motor Co. announced a recall for the same issue.

“Mazda submitted a ... report to [the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration] involving 2001-2006 model years and 2008 Mazda Tributes equipped with the 3.0L V6 engine and speed control,” Mazda spokeswoman Tamara Mlynarczyk said Friday.
