Law360, New York (August 20, 2012, 10:12 PM ET) -- An exasperated Delaware state judge on Friday sanctioned excess insurers in a long-running legal battle with Warren Pumps LLC over coverage of asbestos claims, declaring they had ignored the court's warning about "excessive and abusive discovery tactics."
Saying the court refused to be cornered, Judge Fred Silverman granted Warren Pumps' request to strike an expert report the insurers had introduced Aug. 1, long after a February deadline for expert reports and just months before trial in the case, which is set for Oct. 22.
