Calif. Court Reins In Workers' Comp Claims By Family Members

Law360, San Diego (August 20, 2012, 11:18 PM ET) -- The California Supreme Court on Monday declined to allow the wife of a LeFiell Manufacturing Co. worker injured by a power press machine to pursue a claim against her husband's employer, a move that could reduce duplicative suits by limiting the ability of injured workers' family members to bring claims outside the state's workers' compensation system.
