Law360, New York (September 20, 2012, 7:19 PM ET) -- A Maryland federal judge on Wednesday trimmed but refused to dismiss a proposed class action suit accusing a pet-product maker of selling a defective line of dog chew toys to consumers.
U.S. District Judge Catherine Blake dismissed plaintiff Dawn Stanley’s strict liability, breach of warranty and negligence claims, among others, but ruled that T.F.H. Publications must face charges that the company violated Maryland’s Consumer Protection Act in knowingly selling potentially lethal dog toys to customers.
