Chevron Pays Spill Fine, Faces Brazil Ops Ban With Transocean

Law360, Chicago (September 27, 2012, 8:06 PM ET) -- A Brazilian regulator said Thursday that Chevron Corp. has paid off a multimillion dollar fine tied to a November oil spill, the same day Chevron and Transocean Inc. revealed they had received court notice of an injunction requiring them to cease certain operations in Brazil within 30 days.
