NTSB Unveils Final Rules On Appeal Process For Pilots

Law360, New York (October 17, 2012, 9:06 PM ET) -- The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board issued new rules Tuesday that apply federal rules of evidence and civil procedures to agency proceedings against pilots over safety violations and allow pilots to appeal an agency order to federal district courts.

The NTSB published an interim final rule in the Federal Register in light of the Pilot's Bill of Rights, a law signed by President Barack Obama in August after the Senate approved the measure by unanimous consent and the House of Representatives passed it by voice vote....
