Law360, New York (October 26, 2012, 5:15 PM ET) -- BMW of North America LLC was hit Tuesday with a proposed class action alleging certain vehicle models feature a transmission system which make it appear that the car is in park but is actually in neutral or reverse, causing a rollaway danger.
The lawsuit follows a notice by the Office of Defect Investigations of the National Highway Transportation Administration in April that it would open an engineering analysis to study the problem.
