Law360, New York (February 04, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- LIN TV Corp.'s insurance companies have agreed to pay $30 million to end allegations related to a 2003 fatal fire, including that a TV cameraman blocked an exit during the nightclub blaze.
The broadcasting company, which owns Rhode Island-based WPRI-TV Channel 12, is also settling allegations that Jeffrey Derderian, a WPRI employee who also owned the The Station nightclub, failed to warn patrons about the risk of a fire.
The tentative settlement, which will be paid by LIN TV's insurance companies, still has to win approval...
