Pfizer's Viagra Video Spurs FDA Reprimand

Law360, New York (April 22, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has chastised Pfizer Inc. over a promotional video featuring the drug giant's erectile dysfunction drug Viagra, saying it violated the agency's advertising rules and failed to disclose safety risks associated with the blockbuster medication.

Thomas Abrams, the FDA's director of drug marketing, said in a warning letter sent April 16 to Pfizer's chief executive and chairman Jeffrey B.
