Law360, New York (May 06, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Toyota Motor North America Inc. is recalling more than 90,000 2008 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid sport utility vehicles, citing problems with the seat belts in the vehicles’ third-row rear seats.
Reports of the voluntary recall surfaced Friday when Toyota spokesman Bill Kwong told the Associated Press that the company had issued a stop sale notice to its dealers in order “to retrofit changes to the seat belt,” in the Highlander SUVs manufactured in 2007 and 2008.
