Law360, New York (July 22, 2014, 11:12 AM EDT) -- Two California Courts of Appeal recently decided cases that will significantly impact secondary asbestos exposure claims in the state. The result is that premises owners have no duty to protect family members of employees and other workers on their property from secondary exposure to asbestos used on their premises. However, a premises owner who manufactures asbestos-containing products on site does have a duty to protect their employees' families from secondary asbestos exposures resulting from the negligent manufacture of those products....
