Law360, New York (January 23, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has warned the public against eating sliced leeks that may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes bacteria after two Quebec companies issued recalls on the vegetables.
The agency said in separate announcements Tuesday and Wednesday that the leeks were distributed in Quebec and New Brunswick in Canada. No cases of illness related to the leeks have been reported.
