Law360, New York (February 27, 2012, 12:36 PM ET) -- CPFL Energias Renovaveis, which is majority owned by Brazilian utility CPFL Energia SA, will pay 1.062 billion Brazilian reais ($622 million) for wind farm owner BVP SA, the buyer said Friday.
BVP is the parent company of Bons Ventos Geradora de Energia SA, which owns four wind farms in the Brazilian state of Ceara. Those wind farms have a total installed capacity of 157.5 megawatts and 20-year contracts with Brazilian utility Eletrobras with an average selling price of 284.4 reais ($167.70) per megawatt-hour, CPFL Renovaveis said....
