Law360, New York (May 24, 2012, 1:51 PM ET) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved an application by clean energy transmission company Clean Line Energy Partners to negotiate service agreements for a $1.7 billion electricity grid project in Iowa and Illinois, Clean Line said Wednesday.
Houston-based Clean Line said that FERC's order permits the operators of the project, known as Rock Island Clean Line LLC, to sell up to 2,625 megawatts of wind energy to anchor tenant customers in Illinois and other Midwestern states.
