White House Threatens To Veto House Energy Funding Bill

Law360, New York (June 01, 2012, 3:23 PM ET) -- The White House on Thursday promised to veto Republican-backed energy legislation, saying it would short-circuit vital funding for clean energy projects and research into cutting-edge technology.

The $32 billion appropriation would shortchange several important departments, including the Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy as well as the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, the administration said.
