Eni, Petronas To Build Rubber Plants At $19B Petro Complex

Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 1:29 PM ET) -- An Eni SpA unit is teaming up with Malaysia’s state-owned Petroliam Nasional Bhd, also known as Petronas, to develop and operate synthetic rubber plants in a proposed 60 billion Malaysian ringgit ($19 billion) petrochemical complex, Petronas announced Thursday.

Having inked a heads of agreement Tuesday, Petronas and Versalis SpA will construct and manage plants within the proposed refinery and petrochemical complex in the state of Johor, to produce and market products using Versalis’ technology license and technical resources, Petronas said.
