Law360, New York (February 15, 2013, 6:44 PM ET) -- Texas' highest court agreed Friday to consider whether builders who suffer economic losses on government contracts can seek damages from the design professionals behind the projects in a negligent misrepresentation case filed by a contractor who lost money on a Dallas light-rail project.
The Texas Supreme Court granted a petition for review from design company LAN/STV, which says a state appellate court wrongly affirmed the company's liability for part of a $5 million judgment awarded to contractor Martin K. Eby Construction Co. Inc., who sued LAN/STV...
