After being told by the head of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to rethink a decision refusing to review a petition challenging a patent issued to cybersecurity startup Centripetal Networks, an administrative board that looks at the validity of patents has changed its mind.

The head of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office threw out a Patent Trial and Appeal Board decision that declined to review a network protection patent owned by Centripetal Networks, saying the PTAB has to take another look.
