Federal Cannabis Legalization May Be Closer Than You Think

Recent developments in Congress and favorable comments by the president have caused a furor of speculation and bold predictions of impending legalization. The political landscape has changed so quickly that it can be difficult to put events in context. Deliberation is needed to avoid jumping to conclusions over the current prospects for full federal legalization, appreciating the obstacles yet to be overcome and recognizing what legalization will likely resemble when it inevitably happens.
