House Committee Probes Drug Makers

Law360, New York (March 06, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has asked a number of drug and medical device manufacturers to provide documents about research and marketing.

Rep. Henry A. Waxman, D-Calif., sent letters March 1 to Boston Scientific Corp., Cordis Corp., Eli Lilly & Co., AstraZeneca and Cephalon Inc. requesting documents pertaining to the marketing of a number of products. The requests were publicized on the committee’s Web site on Monday.
