RJ Reynolds Agrees To Meet With AGs On Marketing

Law360, New York (December 02, 2010, 6:05 PM ET) -- R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., which makes Camel-brand cigarettes, has agreed to meet with state attorneys general who are concerned that the company's latest marketing campaign targets underage smokers.

The National Association of Attorneys General sent a letter to the company dated Nov. 23, saying Camel's Break Free Adventure promotion uses aspects of popular culture, such as independent music, art, motor sports, and a “hip” or counterculture attitude, that appeal to teenagers.
