GOP Sens. Introduce Bill To Repeal Dodd-Frank

Law360, New York (April 01, 2011, 5:26 PM ET) -- A group of Republican senators introduced a bill on Friday to repeal the landmark financial reforms President Barack Obama signed into law in July, hurtling past colleagues who have focused on trying to undo specific parts of the legislation.

Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., chairman of the Senate Steering Committee introduced S.712, The Financial Takeover Repeal Act of 2011, saying the U.S. economy requires lawmakers to scrap the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in its entirety rather pursue piecemeal revisions.
