Law360, New York (July 16, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- After a recent spate of highly publicized product recalls, the Consumer Product Safety Commission has gone to Washington with a request for more legal authority and resources to combat unsafe imports.
Acting CPSC Chairman Nancy Nord on Monday presented Congress with several measures designed to boost the Commission's ability to investigate safety violations and impose requirements and sanctions against companies importing their products from international manufacturers.
