Law360, New York (April 10, 2012, 1:14 PM ET) -- There are a number of state and federal bills in the works that look to ban employers from requesting or demanding candidates turn over social media login information as a condition of their employment. While these policies are clearly a hot-button issue, employers are well advised to stay far away from the practice lest they find themselves unnecessarily defending lawsuits for discrimination.
