Law360, New York (April 10, 2012, 6:41 PM ET) -- Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback said Monday that he'll allow new state bank and real estate appraisal regulations mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act to become law, but won't sign them, arguing that he has serious doubts about their constitutionality.
Brownback, a Republican, said state lawmakers were forced to pass the banking and real estate bills in order to comply with Dodd-Frank, which he claims represents an “unconstitutional incursion of federal authority over the states.”
