Md. RECs: Turn That Animal Waste Into Thermal Energy

Law360, New York (May 07, 2012, 1:50 PM ET) -- On April 6, 2012, the Maryland General Assembly enacted Senate Bill 1004 designating “thermal biomass systems” as energy resources eligible to receive Tier 1 renewable energy credits (RECs) for their thermal output. As of late April, this legislation has not yet been signed into law.
