Hospitals Decry Proposed Medicare E-Records Rule

Law360, New York (May 02, 2012, 6:57 PM ET) -- Two hospital groups are pushing back hard on Medicare's proposed Stage 2 meaningful use requirements for electronic health records, with one group telling Medicare on Monday that it would be “nearly impossible” for its members to meet the requirements on time.

The American Hospital Association and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives submitted their comments on the proposed Stage 2 requirements a week before comments are due.
