Law360, New York (May 04, 2012, 7:33 PM ET) -- Looming changes in New Jersey to personal-injury protection regulations for auto insurance clash with legislative intent, according to a proposed resolution introduced by state Sen. Nicholas Scutari, D-22nd District, on Thursday.
The concurrent resolution criticizes a provision that allows insurers to force medical providers to go through an internal appeals process before they can seek arbitration and others that cover smaller PIP arbitration, a process for establishing the reasonableness of attorneys' fees and medical fee schedules.
