Law360, New York (May 16, 2012, 5:30 PM ET) -- Polish officials proposed Wednesday to institute antitrust fines for individuals and create settlement and enhanced leniency programs for cartel offenders, part of a broader overhaul to the country's competition law that would also create a two-part merger review process.
Poland's Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, also known as UOKiK, has laid out draft amendments to the country's current, five-year-old antitrust statute in a bid to boost enforcement while at the same time making the system more efficient, the agency said.
