Law360, New York (May 22, 2012, 6:07 PM ET) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday eased a pair of pesticide rules, granting a tolerance exemption for a polymer used in pesticide chemical formulations and establishing a time-limited tolerance for residues of a fungicide on apples, grapefruits and pears.
Responding to two separate petitions from product development firm Triton Systems Inc. and insecticide maker Syngenta Crop Protection LLC, the EPA found that a pair of chemicals used by those companies and others can be considered safe for humans in certain amounts or in certain circumstances....
