Law360, Los Angeles (May 25, 2012, 5:00 PM ET) -- The California State Senate on Friday passed a law that would bar employers and colleges from demanding access to Facebook profiles, Twitter feeds and other social media accounts of employees and students, sending the bill to the state Assembly.
In a bipartisan 28-5 vote, the Senate approved the Social Media Privacy Act authored by state Sen. Leland Yee, D-San Francisco.
