Law360, New York (May 18, 2005, 12:00 AM ET) -- The former French prime minister charged with steering Europe’s patent reform through the European Parliament has drafted amendments that would bar the patenting of most types of software, according to a published report.
Michel Rocard, a Socialist member of the European Parliament, has drafted amendments that would bar patents for “the treatment, the manipulation, the representation and the presentation of information through software,” the Financial Times reported.
